The earliest is Landstreff Fredriksten on 28 and 29 May, the latest is Qstock on 30 and 31 July, and the busiest stretch is the last week of June, when Copenhell, Palmesus and Roskilde all overlap. Every date below was read off the festival's own website on 30 September 2026. If you are planning next summer now, this is the useful list, because a date on the festival's own front page is the only kind worth booking a train around. Thursday to Sunday, which makes it the first big Danish weekend of the season and a Whitsun-adjacent long weekend for most people. Ticket sales open on 1 October 2026\. Source: [jellingmusikfestival.dk](https://jellingmusikfestival.dk/info/faq/?ref=resources.getvolt.dk). **Copenhell, 23 to 26 June.** The front page says it plainly: "VI SES IGEN PÅ REFSHALEØEN 23.-24-.25.-26\. JUNI 2027." Same site as always, the old shipyard at Refshaleøen in Copenhagen, four days. Copenhell is also the festival with the strictest bag rule of the group, which is worth knowing before you pack rather than at the gate. Source: [copenhell.dk](https://copenhell.dk/?ref=resources.getvolt.dk). **Roskilde Festival, 26 June to 3 July.** Eight days including the warm-up, and the only festival on this list long enough that you will want a plan for laundry. Roskilde's own site was unreachable to an automated check on the day this was written, so the dates here come from the version we verified on the festival's site in August and published in our [2027 transport guide](https://resources.getvolt.dk/articles/roskilde-getting-there/), which covers the festival train, the shuttle buses and the entrances. **Musik i Lejet, 22 to 24 July.** "Vi ses i 2027," says the front page, followed by "22\. - 23\. - 24\. juli." Three days on the north Zealand coast at the permanent site the festival moved to in 2026\. Pre-sale sign-up is open now. The front page carries the festival name with the dates 28 and 29 May 2027 beside it. Two days inside a hilltop fortress above Halden, with tent plots on site. Source: [landstreff-fredriksten.no](https://landstreff-fredriksten.no/?ref=resources.getvolt.dk). **Palmesus, 25 to 26 June.** The beach festival in Kristiansand lists "2027 25.-26\. juni" and, in the same breath, that Early Bird for 2027 is already sold out. If a two-day beach weekend in late June is the plan, this one is further along its ticket curve than anything else on the list. Source: [palmesus.com](https://www.palmesus.com/?ref=resources.getvolt.dk). ## Sweden **Sweden Rock Festival, 9 to 12 June.** The countdown on the English front page runs to 9 to 12 June 2027, four days, and the ticket page shows both the round-two Blind Bird four-day ticket and a new Youth Ticket for ages 13 to 17 already sold out. Sweden Rock ran Event Lockers at three separate points plus self-service charging in 2026, which we covered in the [Sweden Rock guide](https://resources.getvolt.dk/festivals/sweden-rock-guide/). Provinssi has always been a Midsummer festival, and 2027 breaks that: "Following the Midsummer, in 2027 Provinssi will be held in July for the first time; 1.-3.7.2027." Same island park at Törnävänsaari in Seinäjoki, new slot in the calendar. Provinssi also introduced lockers for the first time in 2026, at the Main Gate, at Camp Provinssi and inside the festival area, and its own info page makes the practical case better than we could: the cloakroom queues at peak times, "so you can avoid waiting by leaving your belongings in a locker instead." Tickets for 2027 are already on sale. There is no camping on the festival site itself, so the sleeping arrangement is a separate decision here. Three days in Oisterwijk in North Brabant, with IntentsCity next door for anyone staying over. Source: [intentsfestival.nl](https://www.intentsfestival.nl/en/?ref=resources.getvolt.dk). ## Coming back, date not announced yet Five festivals have confirmed a 2027 edition without publishing dates, checked on the same day as everything above. They are worth watching rather than planning around. - **Smukfest** has the most concrete of these: no dates, but the front page states that ticket sales for Smukfest 2027 open on 3 November. For a festival that sells out most days, the sale date matters more than the festival date. Vi ses i 2027." - **Tons of Rock** in Oslo has a 2027 ticket page live and reports Early Bird 2027 sold out, with no dates on it. - **Way Out West** in Gothenburg has gone further still, pausing ticket sales after selling most of the three-day tickets available for 2027, again without dates on the front page. - **Stavernfestivalen** in Larvik has Super Early Bird tickets for 2027 on sale and no published dates. The pattern across all five is the same, and it is the real planning lesson: at the bigger Nordic festivals the ticket goes on sale before the date is announced. If you want a specific festival, the thing to diarise is the ticket sale, not the weekend. ## What to sort out early, and what can wait Tickets and travel are the two that genuinely reward being early, and the list above shows why: three of these festivals had 2027 tickets sold out before the end of September 2026. The on-site services are different. [Event Lockers](https://resources.getvolt.dk/services/lockers/) and [charging](https://resources.getvolt.dk/services/charging/) open for booking closer to each event, festival by festival, and they are cheapest before the gates rather than at them. Lockers at several festivals sold out before the 2026 gates opened, including at [Copenhell and Blå Sol](https://resources.getvolt.dk/news/lockers-sold-out-at-copenhell-and-bla-sol/), so "closer to the event" is not the same as "on the day." A rough order of operations that works: ticket first, then travel and sleeping, then the locker and the powerbank in the weeks before you go. One more thing that is easy to forget in September. At most of these festivals your ticket, your payment method and your group chat all live on the same phone, which is why a flat battery stops being an inconvenience and starts being a problem. Landstreff Fredriksten in Halden, Norway, on 28 and 29 May 2027, one day ahead of Jelling Musikfestival's Thursday 27 May start in Denmark, which runs to 30 May. ### When is Roskilde Festival 2027? 26 June to 3 July 2027, eight days including the warm-up days, at Roskilde in Denmark. ### Why is Provinssi in July in 2027? Provinssi is moving off its usual Midsummer slot. The festival states on its own site that 2027 will be the first July edition, on 1 to 3 July, in Seinäjoki. ### Are Smukfest 2027 dates announced? Not as of 30 September 2026\. Smukfest has confirmed a 2027 edition and published one date that matters more in practice: ticket sales open on 3 November 2026. ### Can I book Event Lockers for 2027 already? No. Locker and charging booking opens per festival, much closer to each event, and prices are lower before the festival than at the gate. Book the ticket now and set a reminder for the services. ### Which of these festivals have on-site camping? Copenhell, Landstreff Fredriksten, Musik i Lejet and Intents Festival all have camping on or next to the festival site. Ruisrock does not, and Palmesus and Qstock are city festivals, so accommodation is a separate booking at those. ## Keeping this page honest Every date here was read on the festival's own website on 30 September 2026, and the quoted lines are the festivals' own words.
