# Day locker or full-festival locker at Smukfest: how to choose

At Smukfest you can book a Volt Event Locker for a single day or for the full festival. If you are camping the whole run, the full-festival locker is the simple call. If you are only there a day or two, a day locker is the sharper one. And if you are already on site partway through the week and wondering whether to add one now, the answer comes down to a quick comparison: what the rest of your remaining days would cost booked one day at a time against the full-festival rate.

## The two options at Smukfest

Smukfest partners with Volt to offer Event Lockers at three locations across the site: the Sølund entrance, Skanderborghus, and Skovlunden. Both options give you the same locker (30 cm wide, 30 cm tall, 50 cm deep, no power outlet inside) and a personal access code delivered by email and SMS before your rental period starts. You can get in and out as often as you like at no extra cost. The difference is how many days your booking covers, and, as the section below explains, whether you keep the same locker throughout.

## When the full-festival locker wins

Smukfest 2026 runs from [2 to 9 August](https://www.smukfest.dk/festivalen?ref=resources.getvolt.dk). If you are camping from the start, that is up to seven or eight days on site. A full-festival booking locks in one dedicated locker for the whole period: you do not have to think about it again after the first booking.

If you want one locker you can trust to hold the same spot all week, the full-festival option is the only one that promises it.

Skovlunden lockers open earlier than the other two locations, from around 3 August, two days ahead of Sølund and Skanderborghus. If you are camping in Skovlunden from the start, a full-festival locker means secure storage from your arrival day rather than waiting for the later opening at the other sites.

## When a day locker makes sense

A day locker is the right tool when:

- You are attending on a single-day wristband and do not need storage between days.
- You are driving in from nearby and can leave things in your car outside festival hours.
- You want to commit to one day and keep the rest of your plans open.

## Deciding mid-festival, or already on site?

This is the question that actually peaks once the festival is running: you are a few days in, you have been paying for a locker one day at a time, and you are wondering whether it is worth switching. The math is the same as booking ahead, just applied to the days you have left rather than the whole week: compare the day rate multiplied by your remaining days against the full-festival rate, not the price you would have paid if you had switched on day one.

Two things to weigh in alongside the price. First, if you have been on single-day lockers, switching to a full-festival booking is also the only way to stop moving your things between different lockers each day, since single-day bookings are not guaranteed to reassign the same one. If you are deciding this late, checking current availability before assuming a locker will still be there tomorrow is worth the two minutes it takes.

## Where the lockers are and when they open

## What fits in a Smukfest locker

Each Event Locker is 30 cm wide, 30 cm tall, and 50 cm deep: enough for a light jacket, wallet, keys, a powerbank, sunglasses, and a spare layer, but not a full camping pack. ## How to book
