The basics: where and when

DHL Stafetten København takes place in Fælledparken, with the main entrance on Øster Allé, right opposite Parken, the national stadium (official site). Getting there

By metro and public transport

The organisers are refreshingly direct about this: the easiest way to and from Fælledparken is by bike or public transport, especially the metro. Trianglen and Vibenshus Runddel stations put you more or less at the door (official FAQ). Just expect company. Five evenings of relay teams all aim for the same 18:00 start, so the platforms get busy in the hour before. Leave earlier than feels necessary.

The event ticket

Again this year there is a special DHL Stafetten event ticket sold in the Rejsebillet app: unlimited public transport for 12 hours at a discounted price. If you are travelling across town after work and home again late, it usually beats buying single tickets.

By bike

This is Copenhagen, so obviously you can ride. Use the designated bicycle parking areas around Fælledparken, and note that bikes are not allowed near or in the tents for fire safety reasons (official FAQ). Park at the edge of the park and walk the last stretch.

By car

Honestly, skip it. There are very few parking spaces around Fælledparken, and the organisers themselves recommend cycling or public transport instead (official FAQ). If someone in the team insists on driving, drop-off and a long walk is the realistic outcome.

Entrances and finding your tent

Both main entrances, Øster Allé and Frederik V's Vej, lead onto the paved path that crosses the park from Parken Stadium towards Rigshospitalet. Pick whichever is closest to where you land; both put you straight into the middle of things.

If your team has booked a tent, your contact person receives an email in the days before the race with the tent assignment, and the official map plus the free DHL Stafetten app show where everything sits (participant guide). Agree on a meeting point with your teammates before you split up. A park full of near-identical tents is a terrible place to play hide and seek at 17:55.

Drop your bag, sort your phone
