Musik i Lejet 2026: dates, new site, Event Lockers and charging
Musik i Lejet runs 16 to 18 July 2026 in Tisvildeleje on a new site for this edition. Volt is on site with Event Lockers and charging. The festival is typically sold out long before gates open, so if you have a ticket, logistics are what matter now.
Musik i Lejet 2026 runs Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 July in North Zealand. The festival has moved to a brand-new site this year. Three-day partout passes sold out long ago. If you have a ticket, logistics are what matter now: where exactly you are going, what you can bring, and how to sort storage and charging before you arrive.
This guide covers all of it, based on information from the official Musik i Lejet practical page and Volt's festival services page.
Dates and opening hours
The festival runs three days:
- Thursday 16 July: gates open 14:00, music until 04:00
- Friday 17 July: gates open 14:00, music until 04:00
- Saturday 18 July: gates open 14:00, music until 04:00
Three late nights back to back. Plan your sleep and phone battery accordingly. The full stage programme is on musikilejet.dk/musik, where you can see who plays when.
The new site: where Musik i Lejet is in 2026
This is not the old parking-area site in Tisvildeleje. The festival has moved to a new permanent home at Rågelejevej 37B, 3210 Vejby (confirmed on musikilejet.dk/praktisk).
The property was formerly known as Tisvildeleje Camping. Despite that name, it sits in the neighbouring village of Vejby. The festival and Good Boys Agency bought the 93,000 square-metre site for 12.5 million kr, as reported by Sjællandske Nyheder. It already has sewage, electricity and buildings in place, and the organiser says it is positioned further from residential areas than the previous site.
The reason for the move: planning processes at the old Tisvildeleje location ran into complications. The original local plan was revoked by the Planning Appeal Board, and rather than wait out an uncertain process, the festival chose to put down permanent roots somewhere it owns.
The setting is still very much North Zealand: open landscape, tree cover, close to forest and coast. Just a different address. If you are driving, type in the Vejby address before you leave. Sat nav set for the old Tisvildeleje area will take you somewhere else.
Getting there
Handicap parking is available free of charge, clearly marked near the festival area (musikilejet.dk/praktisk). Companion passes are also available for valid companion card holders.
For specific transport routes, bus connections and parking, check the official practical info page directly. These details can change and the festival updates them before each edition.
What to bring and what to leave at home
Entry requires a valid wristband. Bag checks happen at the entrance. You can bring large bags and backpacks, but they will be searched thoroughly. The cleaner your bag, the faster you get through.
These items are not allowed on site, per the official entry rules:
- Portable speakers (including SOUNDBOKS and similar)
- Umbrellas
- Outside food and drinks (sealed, unopened water is an exception)
- Drones
- Fireworks and laser pointers
- Gas cartridges
- Professional cameras or recording equipment without prior written permission from the festival
- Weapons or weapon-like objects
- All intoxicating substances
The speaker ban is firm. There are no exceptions listed. If you are planning a camp setup with a SOUNDBOKS, it stays at camp, outside the festival perimeter.
The simplest entry strategy: carry as little as possible. Use a locker for everything you do not need on the dance floor. It is genuinely faster.
Event Lockers at Musik i Lejet 2026
Volt runs Event Lockers on site at Musik i Lejet this year. Here is how they work.
Each locker is roughly 30 x 30 x 50 cm: enough for a small daypack, a jacket, valuables, some extra layers. Not designed for a large camping bag, but right for the stuff you want kept safe while you are at the stages.
Book online before you arrive. It costs less online than at the gate, and your spot is confirmed. Just before your slot opens, a personal access code arrives by email and SMS. From that point, you can open and re-lock your locker as many times as you like during festival opening hours, with no extra charge per visit.
The locker is monitored and under cover. Your access code is yours alone.
No power outlet inside the locker, so it is purely for storage. For phone charging, that is a separate service covered below.

Keeping your phone alive: Volt Charging Service at Musik i Lejet
Three days with gates closing at 04:00 will drain your phone. Ticket in your phone app. Photos. Navigating the site. Finding your crew. These all need battery.
Volt's Charging Service is on site at Musik i Lejet 2026. The setup is staffed booths where you rent a pocket-sized Volt-Charger (a powerbank with three built-in cable types) and swap it for a fully charged one once a day when it runs low.
How it works:
- Book online before the festival. Prices are lower online than at the booth.
- Pick up your Volt-Charger at a staffed Volt booth when you arrive. New customers pay a refundable deposit. If you have a Volt-Charger from a previous festival, bring it: returning customers skip the deposit entirely.
- Keep the Volt-Charger in your pocket and charge on the move, at the stages, at the food stalls, wherever you are.
- When it runs low, swap it for a fully charged one at any Volt booth. One swap per day included.
- Return it at the end for your deposit back.
No hunting for a wall outlet. No leaving your phone on a charging mat somewhere you cannot watch it. The Volt-Charger comes with three integrated cables covering the main connector types.
Pairing a locker with the Charging Service covers both problems at once: somewhere safe for your stuff, and a phone that lasts all day. Volt sells both from the same booking page.

Tickets: what is still available
Three-day partout passes are sold out, as confirmed on the official site. The festival says it expects a record number of festival goers in 2026.
Day tickets for each of the three days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) are priced at 1,195 kr each, available through the official United Tickets platform. Senior tickets (65+) are 1,295 kr. Children under 12 enter free. Tickets for ages 12 to 16 at the same rate as adults were also listed as sold out.
Only buy from the official channels. Resale platforms carry Musik i Lejet tickets at significant markups, and scam listings do appear. The festival has flagged this directly.
If you already have a partout pass, you are set. If you are looking for a day ticket, go to musikilejet.dk and follow the official booking links from there.
