Qstock fills Kuusisaari and Raatti in Oulu on 24 and 25 July 2026. The official site calls it the biggest music festival in Northern Finland, and the 2026 programme backs that up: seven stages, nearly 70 artists, and names like Rita Ora, Marshmello, Lordi and JVG on the bill.

Getting to Kuusisaari and Raatti

The festival area sits on two islands a short walk from the city centre, which is the best thing about Qstock logistics. The official arrival page points walkers through the Market Square towards Linnansaari, or across the Merikoski bridges. The train station is a couple of kilometres from the area, so arriving by rail and walking the rest is completely realistic.

Skip the car. The organiser is clear that parking right next to the festival area is not possible, so driving in means parking further out and walking anyway. Cycling works well: there is a bicycle parking zone in Linnansaari near the area, though bikes left by the Pikisilta bridge get removed. The closest taxi stand is at Rantakatu 4 in the centre, and local buses are easiest to plan on the Oulu journey planner.

Routes and closures can shift on festival weekend, so give the arrival page a final check before you set off.

Bag rules and what to bring

Pack light. The official FAQ carries the full list of allowed and forbidden items, and it is worth a read before you fill a backpack. One useful detail from it: an empty see-through plastic soft drink bottle up to 0.5 litres is allowed, so you can refill instead of buying every drink.

Two long days with free re-entry reward a small kit: sunscreen for the afternoon, a warm layer for the stretch after midnight, and as little as possible hanging off your shoulders while you move between seven stages.

The point of a locker at a festival like this is unlimited access. You are not handing a bag over a counter once; you open and re-lock your own locker from your phone as often as you like during opening hours, with a personal code that arrives by email and SMS just before the rental starts. For comparison, the festival's FAQ also lists a cloakroom at Linnansaari where every visit costs 5 €. Fine for a single coat drop, but if you expect to dip into your stuff more than once, a locker you can open all day is the calmer option.

Keeping your phone alive

Friday runs from midday to 01:00 and Saturday starts even earlier. Finding your friends at midnight, checking the timetable and getting home all run through your phone, and thirteen hours on site will flatten almost any battery.
