Volt is at Musik i Lejet 2026 with Event Lockers and the Volt Charging Service. Both are on the new coastal site in the Tisvildeleje area from 16 to 18 July. This is how the setup works, and what a venue change looks like from an organiser's side.
The new site
Musik i Lejet moved from its long-standing Tisvildeleje home to a new site starting with the 2025 edition. The 2026 festival runs at Rågelejevej 37B in the 3210 area, north of Copenhagen, across five stages: Solscenen, Skovscenen, Klub3210, Fiskerbanen, and MINI Terrassen. Gates open at 14:00 each day; music runs until 04:00. Local trains connect directly from Hillerød to Tisvildeleje, so you can arrive without a car.

What the bag rules mean in practice
The festival's practical guide advises against bringing large bags and backpacks onto the site. If you bring one, security will search it thoroughly at the gate. On an unfamiliar site, that means a slower entry and something bulky to carry around once you are in.

On site, you open and close the locker as many times as you like during opening hours. The locker is roughly 30 x 30 x 50 cm, under cover, no power outlet inside. It fits a small bag, a change of clothes, and valuables you do not want to carry all day.
Booking in advance costs less than booking at the gate, and availability is limited. Volt's own guidance is to book as soon as you have your festival ticket sorted.
Volt Charging Service: three days without a dead phone
The Volt Charging Service at Musik i Lejet puts a pocket-sized Volt-Charger with built-in cables in your pocket from the moment you arrive. Pick it up at a staffed Volt booth, pay a refundable deposit, and carry it with you across the stages.
When it runs flat, swap it for a full one, once per day, at any staffed Volt point on site. At the end of the weekend, return it and get the deposit back. If you still have a Volt-Charger from a previous year, you skip the deposit altogether.
Your phone stays alive for your ticket, your photos, your messages, and the payment terminal at the bar. That matters most on a new site where the layout is still unfamiliar and you are more likely to need navigation and contacts to find your group.
What a venue change looks like for an organiser
Moving a festival to a new site introduces a fresh set of questions for every vendor on the ground. Crowd flow is harder to predict on an unfamiliar layout. The natural routes to locker banks and charging points are unknown until the gates open. Storage demand shifts when festival goers are navigating a new map.
