Volt Self-Service Charging at Smukfest 2026: Which Camp Zones Does It Cover?

If your pitch is at NaturligHeden, Skovlunden, Banerne, Føla, Medhjælpercamp, the Sølund camp area or Skanderborghus, you are in a Volt Self-Service Charging zone: a freestanding station with three charger cables built in, no counter and no staff to find. Only three areas run the staffed alternative instead: KærligHeden, the Sølund main entrance and the Stjerne Bar area. Seven of Smukfest's ten named camp areas run self-service, so most festival goers camped away from the main gate are covered without ever queuing at a counter. If your pitch is not listed by name, Smukfest's own camping areas map ↗ groups the smaller pitches around these larger zones, so the nearest point is usually a short walk.

How Volt Self-Service Charging works

Each self-service station is a freestanding tower: take a charger, keep it with you around camp, and return it when you are done. There is no rental counter and no queue to swap a drained unit for a fresh one, which is exactly why the quieter, further-out camps get this setup instead of a staffed booth. NaturligHeden and Skovlunden in particular sit in the quieter corners of the beech forest, further from the KærligHeden hub, where a self-service station that does not need staffing makes the most sense.

If you would rather use the staffed point

At KærligHeden, Sølund's main entrance and the Stjerne Bar area, Volt runs a staffed counter where you rent a Volt-Charger (a powerbank) and swap it for a fresh one once a day for as long as your booking runs. A deposit is paid on site at pickup and refunded once the Volt-Charger comes back, and returning guests who bring one from an earlier festival skip the deposit. KærligHeden is also the pickup point for SOUNDBOKS battery swap, so it is the natural stop for a camp keeping both a phone and a speaker alive for the week.

When each point actually opens

Not every point is live from the moment gates open. Smukfest's own site times each charging point to when its camp area itself opens for the week, staggered across the first few days rather than all at once.
