Getting to O Days Festival 2026

The easiest way to get to O Days Festival 2026 is by harbour bus or Bus 2A, or by bike. The festival takes over Refshaleøen, a former shipyard island in Copenhagen's harbour, from 30 July to 1 August 2026. There is almost no car parking out there, so public transport and cycling are the way in.

Refshaleøen sits just across the water from the city centre. It is close, but it is a spit of land with one road on and off, which is exactly why you plan the trip rather than wing it.

Getting to Refshaleøen

Here are your realistic options, quickest and simplest first.

• Harbour bus 991 or 992: the waterborne route runs up the harbour and stops at Refshaleøen. It doubles as the best view of the trip.
• Bus 2A: the city bus runs out to Refshaleøen and stops right by the site. This is the workhorse route from central Copenhagen.
• By bike: cycling is the most popular way in, and there is bike parking at the festival entrance. Copenhagen is built for it, and the ride along the water is part of the fun.
• On foot: from Christianshavn or the Reffen street food area it is a walkable stretch if the weather is good and you are not in a rush.
• Taxi: around 15 minutes from the city centre. Apps like Viggo and Dantaxi make it painless when you are heading home late.

Coming from Copenhagen Airport

The airport (CPH) is about 12 km from Refshaleøen. Take the Metro or a train into the city, then switch to Bus 2A or the harbour bus for the last leg. Reckon on roughly 30 to 40 minutes door to door depending on connections. A taxi straight from the airport is quicker if you are travelling with a group and splitting the fare.

Should you drive?

Short answer: no. Car parking on Refshalevej, the single road out to the island, is extremely limited, and O Days pushes everyone toward public transport and bikes for good reason. If you do drive to Copenhagen, park in the city and take Bus 2A or the harbour bus for the last stretch. You will get in faster and skip the crawl off the island at the end of the night.

Timing your arrival

O Days gates open in the early afternoon and the night runs late, often to around 1 am. That means two rush moments: everyone arriving mid-afternoon, and everyone leaving at once after the last act. Arrive a little before the crowd, and for the trip home, walking a few minutes to a less busy stop can beat queuing at the closest one.
