Smukfest 2026 check-in has begun. Here is the short list for keeping your phone charged, your bag locked up, and your SOUNDBOKS running all week in the forest.
Check-in at Smukfest 2026 opens today at the main Sherwood entrance, where every shuttle bus lands (smukfest.dk). If your bag is not finished yet, here is the short list that actually matters: a way to keep your phone alive across eight days in the forest, somewhere safe to leave it once the music starts, and what your camp needs if you are bringing a SOUNDBOKS. Keep your phone alive for the week
There is no mains power in Smukfest's free camping areas. Unless your camp has booked one of the paid accommodation options that includes a power supply, charging comes from Volt or from the festival's own AURA charging tables on the festival grounds, which are free but only reach as far as the concert area, not your tent (smukfest.dk).
Volt Charging Service is the staffed option: walk up to a booth, rent a Volt-Charger powerbank, and swap it for a fresh one once a day. Three staffed booths run this year, at KærligHeden, the Sølund entrance, and Stjerneområdet. Volt Self-Service Charging is the take-it-yourself option: freestanding stations with three cables built in, spread across seven camping areas, Naturligheden, Skovlunden, Banerne, Føla, Medhjælpercamp, Sølund, and Skanderborghus (smukfest.dk).
None of it is running yet today. KærligHeden's staffed booth is the first to open, from tomorrow, and the rest of the network switches on later in the week as more camps fill up (smukfest.dk). Somewhere safe for your bag once the music starts
You are not carrying a full day bag around the forest for a week. Volt's Event Lockers at Smukfest run at three zones this year: the Sølund entrance, Skanderborghus, and Skovlunden. Each locker is a personal 30 x 30 x 50 cm compartment with its own access code, sent by email and text before you travel, and you can open and re-lock it as often as you like at no extra cost (smukfest.dk). Access starts on 5 August at the Sølund and Skanderborghus zones, and two days earlier, on 3 August, at Skovlunden (smukfest.dk). Bringing a SOUNDBOKS? Two more things to sort
If your camp is hauling a SOUNDBOKS out to the forest, book two things before you go. SOUNDBOKS Battery Swap lets you exchange a drained Gen4 battery for a full one at the KærligHeden booth, in packages of several swaps across the week; it only works with Gen4 batteries, so check yours before you pack (smukfest.dk). SOUNDLOCK is a physical lock, metal wire, ground spike, and padlock, that secures the speaker in camp while you are off at the show. It rents on its own and does not require a Battery Swap package. All five book through the same place: the Volt Smukfest 2026 collection. Guests can also book online through the festival's own Smukkiosk. If you would rather sort it once you arrive, the staffed booths take walk-ups too, and self-service towers need no staff at all.
