What Lowlands is like
The full name is A Campingflight to Lowlands Paradise, and the campingflight part is accurate. For one long weekend the site turns into a temporary city: you sleep there, eat there, shower there, and the programme keeps going long after the main stages wind down.
It is not only bands either. Music, comedy, theatre and film share the site, and the 2026 line-up is topped by Tyler, The Creator and Lorde. Tickets are sold through official channels only, so check the tickets page for current availability.
The bag rule, and where your stuff goes
Lowlands is strict about bags on the festival grounds: nothing bigger than 30 x 21 x 10 cm, about the size of an A4 sheet. Bigger bags are fine at the campsite. So pack in two layers: the big bag lives at your tent, the small one comes with you.
For valuables, Lowlands itself rents lockers by the day or for the full weekend near the festival entrance and along the camping lane. Book through the festival's own channels; pricing is confirmed closer to the event.
Keeping your phone alive for three days
Lowlands is cashless: at the bars and food stalls you pay by card or phone, not coins. Your phone is also your ticket, your map and the only way to find your crew once the crowd swallows them. A dead battery on day two is a real problem, and a wall socket in a field is not a thing.
