Day locker or full-festival locker at Smukfest: how to choose
At Smukfest you can book a Volt Event Locker for a single day or the full festival week. Here is how to decide which option suits your trip.
If you are camping the full run at Smukfest, the week locker almost always works out cheaper than stacking individual day bookings. If you are only coming for one or two days, a day locker is the sharper call. The decision comes down to how long you will be on site and how many concert days you are actually attending.
The two options at Smukfest
Smukfest partners with Volt to offer Event Lockers at three locations across the site: the Sølund entrance, Skanderborghus, and Skovlunden. You can book a locker for a single day or the full festival week.
Both options give you the same storage unit (30 cm wide, 30 cm tall, 50 cm deep), the same personal access code delivered to you by email and SMS before the festival starts, and unlimited in-out access during opening hours. The difference is how many days your booking covers.
According to the official Smukfest practical info page, lockers are accessible from 09:00 to 01:00 on concert days (Wednesday to Saturday) and from 09:00 to 00:00 on the Sunday.
When the week locker pays off
Smukfest 2026 runs from 2 to 9 August. Camping opens from 2 August at KærligHeden and Skovlunden for tents, with most other areas opening 4 August. Main concerts run 5 to 9 August in Bøgeskoven near Skanderborg.
If you are camping from the start, that is five to seven days on site. Buying day lockers across that stretch costs more per day than the week booking and means returning to the Smukkiosk each morning to rebook for the next day. The week option locks in your locker number from the first day your area opens, and you do not have to think about it again.
Skovlunden lockers open from around 3 August, two days before the main program. If you are camping in Skovlunden, a week locker means you have secure storage from arrival day. The Sølund entrance and Skanderborghus locations open from 5 August.
When a day locker makes sense
A day locker is the right tool when:
- You are attending on a single-day wristband and do not need storage between days.
- You are driving in from nearby and can leave things in your car outside festival hours.
- You want to commit to one day only and keep flexibility for the rest.

Where the lockers are and when they open
Volt Event Locker locations at Smukfest 2026, as listed on smukfest.dk/praktisk:
- Sølund entrance: open from 5 August
- Skanderborghus: open from 5 August
- Skovlunden: open from 3 August
Opening hours run from 09:00 to 01:00 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 09:00 to 00:00 on Sunday. Confirm the current year's times on the official page before you travel, as the festival can adjust.
What fits in a Smukfest locker
Each Event Locker is 30 cm wide, 30 cm tall, and 50 cm deep. That fits a light jacket, wallet, keys, a powerbank, sunglasses, and a spare layer. It is not sized for a full camping pack.
If you need to drop a large bag during the day, Smukfest provides free cloakroom service at the Sherwood entrance and the Sølund entrance at no charge. The cloakroom handles big loads. The Event Locker handles valuables you want secured all day and accessible whenever you need them.
How to book
Lockers are booked through the Smukkiosk, Smukfest's official booking platform at smukfest.dk/kiosk. Your locker number and personal access code are sent by email and SMS before your rental period starts. You do not need an app or staff help at the locker itself.

Frequently asked questions
Can I access my Smukfest locker late at night?
Yes, until 01:00 on concert nights from Wednesday to Saturday, and until 00:00 on the Sunday. Plan to collect anything you need before those cut-off times.
What if I cannot find my locker code?
Your code is sent by email and SMS to the contact details you provided when booking. If you cannot find it, contact Volt support at support@getvolt.dk before the festival starts so there is time to resend it.
Is there free bag storage at Smukfest?
Smukfest provides free cloakroom service at the Sherwood and Sølund entrances during the festival, open for larger bags and coats at no charge. The paid Event Lockers are for all-day secure access to your valuables, not bulk storage.
Can two people share one locker?
You can share your access code with anyone you trust. Whether one locker is enough for two people depends on what you both need to store. If each person has a light jacket and a few small items, one locker often covers both.
