GRØN 2026 (often written GRON) tours eight Danish cities from July 16 to 26, and it is completely sold out: the official site reports a record 203,500 festival goers across the tour. If your ticket is already sorted, the prep list is short. Know the bag rules, pre-book an Event Locker for 75 DKK, and plan how your phone survives a full afternoon and evening in a park.

What GRØN actually is
GRØN has been touring Denmark since 1983. Tuborg and Muskelsvindfonden arrange it, and all profits go to a good life with muscular dystrophy, as the official site puts it. You get a proper festival day with a clean conscience built in.
The same bill plays every city. For 2026 the official site names Lukas Graham, Tessa, Andreas Odbjerg, Malte Ebert, HUGORM, Sivas, Annika and Mumle. In Valby the music starts early afternoon and Lukas Graham closes the Grøn Scene at 20:30, per the Valby program.
Bag rules: food yes, water only, no knives
The rules are stricter than at camping festivals, so read them before you pack. Per the official Valby page, you can bring your own food, knives are banned, and the only drink you can carry through the gate is water. Anything else gets confiscated at entry.
So pack light: a small bag, sunscreen, a water bottle and a layer for the evening. Practical questions beyond that are covered on the official praktisk info page.
Event Lockers at GRØN: 75 DKK per show
Volt runs Event Lockers at all eight stops, and GRØN's own pages point to Volt for booking. A locker costs 75 DKK per show and measures about 30 x 30 x 50 cm. Phone, wallet, powerbank, a light jacket and a small bag fit comfortably.
Booking is digital from end to end. You get a personal code by email and SMS just before the rental starts, and you can open and re-lock your locker as often as you like during opening hours. One thing to remember: lockers are emptied at 22:00 after the concert, per the official Valby page, so grab your things before you leave the park.
It is the same setup Volt runs at over 120 festivals and events in 2026. Pick your city and pre-book your Event Locker here.
Keeping your phone alive at GRØN
Your ticket, your payments and your friend-finding all run through your phone, and a full day of photos and messages drains it fast. Arrive charged and bring a powerbank if you own one. An Event Locker is also a safe spot to stash a spare until you need it.
At festivals where Volt runs charging, the Volt Charging Service works like this: you rent a Volt-Charger at a staffed Volt booth and swap it for a fresh one once a day. Worth knowing if GRØN is only one stop on your festival summer. At GRØN itself, the Volt service you can pre-book is the Event Locker.
Getting there
Every show sits in or near the host city, and each city page on the official site has directions and a map. Valby is a good example: the show is in Valbyparken (Tudsemindevej 39), reachable by metro to Mozarts Plads or by train to København Syd and Ellebjerg, with extra Movia buses on the day and paid parking at Valby Hallen, per the official Valby page.
Public transport is the relaxed option. The crowd leaves all at once at closing time, and a train beats a parking queue.
Sort your locker before you go
Tickets are gone, but you can still make the day easier. Pre-book your Event Locker for 75 DKK, pick the city and date you are going to, and walk in carrying nothing you need to worry about.
